Byron Bay Golf Club
Where Coastal Beauty Meets Great Golf
![]()
Tucked near Australia’s most easterly point, Byron Bay Golf Club offers more than just a game — it’s a full experience. Our 18-hole championship course stretches across 120 acres of lush coastal landscape, with sweeping ocean views that make every round feel a little magical.
Whether you’re teeing off at sunrise or catching up with mates on the back nine, there’s no better spot to enjoy the game. But the fun doesn’t stop on the fairways…
Kick back on our sunny clubhouse deck with a cold drink or something delicious from the bistro-style menu. It’s a local favourite for a reason — relaxed, welcoming, and always serving up great food (even if you haven’t touched a club).
Planning a get-together, special occasion, or corporate day out? We’ve got the space, the scenery, and the service to make it easy and memorable.
Need to sharpen your swing? Our PGA pro is on hand for lessons, and our fully stocked pro shop has everything you need to hit the course in style.
So whether you’re here for the golf, the views, the food — or all of the above — you’ll find a warm welcome waiting at Byron Bay Golf Club.

🦢 Tranquillity on the 2nd Hole 🌿
Early mornings and quiet afternoons on the 2nd hole often belong to our most graceful residents — the beautiful black swans that call Byron Bay Golf Club home.
Gliding gently through the wetlands, surrounded by lilac and soft purple water lilies, the scene feels more like a living artwork than a golf course. One can’t help but think it’s a palette Monet himself would have admired.
These wetlands are far more than a course feature. They are a vital ecosystem — supporting birdlife, protecting water quality, and providing sanctuary for koalas, marsupials, and countless native species that live and move through our grounds year-round.
BBGC is not just a place to play golf.
It’s a nature paradise, a haven of calm, and a reminder that the game we love exists alongside something even more precious — the environment that sustains it.
Next time you step onto the 2nd green, take a moment. Listen. Look. And enjoy the serenity we’re privileged to share. 🌾💜

🎄 *BOXING DAY MAGIC AT BYRON BAY GOLF CLUB*🎄
On a perfect December afternoon — *Boxing Day, no less*— a modest field of 12 teed it up in the Pro Shop competition.
Among them was *Braidon James*, already putting together a stellar round, having birdied *6, 8, 11 and 15*.
Then came the Par 4 16th.
With a *3-wood in hand*, Braidon stepped onto the tee.
The swing? Effortless.
Elegant like *Ernie Els*.
So pure that, if converted to music, it would have sounded like *Mozart’s Moonlight Sonata*.
Witnesses report that birds stopped mid-flight, cicadas fell silent, and even the koalas leaned in — mesmerised by the sweet sound of perfectly timed impact.
The ball launched skyward.
From the moment it left the face, everyone knew… this was *different*.
A short hop before the green.
One… maybe two bounces.
Then a calm, unwavering roll — *285 metres* of destiny.
No break. No curve. Just a laser locked on target.
And then…
*SWOOSH.*
A Michael Jordan swoosh.
Nothing but net.
🟢 *IN THE HOLE.*
🟢 *ALBATROSS.*
🟢 *PAR 4 – HOLE IN ONE.*
Immortalised forever, Braidon now joins the *Par 4 Hole-in-One Crew* — a rare, elite and very prestigious group.
👏 *Braidon James — you are an absolute legend. Congratulations.*
Oh… and just quietly…
🏆 *He also won the day’s competition with a tidy 40 points.*
Some days are good.
Some days are unforgettable.
This one belongs to the history books. 🏌️♂️✨
Jason Gilmore and Doug Cope understood the assignment for “Loud Shirt Day” sponsored by The Green Jackets. A great day of golf and a generous ham raffle fundraising for Joel Ogilvy. Thank you to everyone that came out and made it a great day. And thank you Green Jackets for hosting this fun event.
